By: Katherine Raymond

UK Release Date:3 April

Certificate: 12A

Running Time:137 mins

Cast:Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham

Director:James Wan

Plot: 'Furious 7 'reunites us with Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew of badass drivers—who face an equally badass new baddie, Deckard Shaw, played by Jason Statham. (Seriously, how did it take SIX sequels for someone to figure out that Statham HAD to be in this franchise?!) Shaw’s seeking revenge for our heroes’ takedown of his terrorist brother—and his tactics strike awfully close to home. Added to the mix is another terrorist, Jakande (Djimon Hounsou), who’s out to get his hands on a lovely young hacker’s super-powerful tracking program. Got all that? Doesn’t matter. The plot takes an, ahem, backseat to the stunts and the action sequences. And of course, to the sight of the late Paul Walker in his last onscreen 'Furious 'ride, following last year’s tragic real-life car crash. 'Furious 7' was reportedly retooled extensively in the wake of Walker’s death, including the use of his brothers as stunt doubles.

Best Scene:Cars parachuting from the sky, anyone? You’ve likely seen the trailer sneak peek at this jaw-dropper of a stunt, but watching it on the big screen is crazy exciting.

Best One Liner: Dom: ‘This time it ain't just about being fast.’

Date Movie or Mate Movie: Mate movie for sure—although there are a few romantic moments between Dom and Letty (Rodriguez), and Brian (Walker) and Mia (Jordana Brewster), the focus here is on the action. Obvs.

Scene Stealer:It’s impossible not to focus on Walker every time he’s on screen. The final tribute to Walker feels very fitting.

WTF Moment:Dom and Brian drive a super-rare fancy racecar through one mile-high Abu Dhabi skyscraper into another… aaand then another. Needless to say, they escape unscathed.

Summary:Walker’s passing looms large over the movie. But that doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy 'Furious 7' as the popcorn flick it’s meant to be. The crazy, over-the-top stunts are wildly entertaining, and the dialogue as cheesy/brilliant as always. This ‘last run’ makes a perfect final chapter in the mega-successful series… although there’s talk that the franchise will be revamped for a number 8!
