On Thursday (June 11th) MTV were recruited to join the rebel force in the fight against darkness – aka we went along to Secret Cinema’s amazing latest project, ‘Secret Cinema presents Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’.

In two words: holy moly. The mission began before even entering the venue (at a secret location in London) as each person was assigned their own rebel ID before the event, and nowwe're thinking that maybe we should just replace these with our old, boring ones...being the Governor of Alliance sounds too impressive to let go of.

You’re pretty much in for a treat from the second you set foot into their vicinity -this unique ultra-immersive experience truly transports you to other climates and dimensions.

The outside world becomes a distant memory andall other cinema visits will forever pale in comparison. This may sound dramatic,but it’s hard not to have that rub off on you after an evening of joining a Rebel Alliance andleaving planet Earth.

It didn't matter how old our fellow Rebels were,everyone was brimming with child-like excitement -and EVERYONE was in costume.

There wasnever a dull moment with a plethora of activities offered up from the moment of arrival. Fair warning, expect to be shouted at in the face,but it's fine because some of the 'beings'were just adorbs.

With a loadof intricately decorated sets to explore and a huge cast of amazing actors,it completely sucks you in to this surreal new world.Not to mention the mesmerizing music from a fusion of genres which transports you to another galaxy in and of itself.

Secret Cinema have pulled out all the stops in making it a multi-sensory experience. They broke the 4th wall of cinema sobad that y’all need some space-builders up in here -which incidentally we saw plenty of.

So muchcare was taken to recreate the world for hardcore fans in every tiny aspect. However, even if you have no idea who Luke Skywalker is (what planet have you been living on?) you should definitely still go along -it’s an otherworldly experience for both fans and non-fans alike. Excuse the awful puns.

Are you amazed and intrigued at the same time? You’ll just have to go and see what we mean. It isa secret after all.
