There's Going To Be A Transformers And The Walking Dead Crossover

At least that’s what we’re taking from this information…

If you’ve ever wanted to see what would happen if the creator of ‘The Walking Dead’ used his powers to create a new expanded ‘Transformers’ franchise, then hey, today’s your lucky day.

Robert Kirkman has reportedly signed on to help produce a Marvel-style shared universe of films -which also features some other serious bigwigs in the movie biz, including ‘Iron Man’ writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

Deadline announced the big news yesterday (May 20), that the Transformers team will indeed bedeveloping ideas for ‘multi-part sequel and spinoff films’ based off the original franchise.

But since it’s clearly a huge feat (and one that has to follow in the footsteps of Marvel), they’ve enlisted a pretty epic ‘writers room’ to make sure it all goes off without a hitch.

Amazing Spider-Man 2’s Jeff Pinkner and Pacific Rim 2’s Zac Penn are joiningThe Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman, Iron Man duo Art Marcum and Matt Holloway - and obviously, they're all linking up with Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and Lorenzo di Bonaventura for the mammoth task.

Avika Goldsman joined the dream team back in March in what’s thought to be an ‘over-sighting’ role, but if anyone would like our opinion on this whole thing, we vote to bring back Shia LaBeouf ASAP.

'Transformers' was PEAK Shia, people. We wish he was still 2007 Shia every single day.
