In a situation so dramatic we wouldn’t be surprised if it literally inspires another Fifty Shades spin-off book, the latest novel by EL James, ‘Grey’, has been stolen just days before its release.

Police have launched an investigation after publishing company Random House realised a copy of EL’s ‘Grey’ manuscript had gone missing – and now the hunt is on for the over-eager fan who just couldn’t wait any longer to get inside Christian Grey’s head.

Set for release on June 18 (which happens to be Christian’s fictional birthday), it’s now possible that the thief could leak the entire thing online, essentially spoiling the whole thing, or even sell the book on to some media types.

While a spokesperson for the publishing company said they had ‘no comment’ on the investigation and EL hasn’t yet commented, we genuinely reckon some sneaky guy has just stolen it for his wife – because that would be serious marriage points.

Still, even if ‘Grey’ ends up splashed all over the Internet, it’ll surely still be a huge successseeing as the Fifty Shades trilogy has sold over 125 MILLION copies worldwide.

Also, when you remember that EL James has earned £75 million throughout all of this, it’s makes it a little difficultto feel bad.
