Even though Ariana Grande didn’t end up attending the 2019 Grammy awards, she still found a way to make use of the incredible Zac Posen gown that was designed in her honour.
ICYMI, the singer pulled out of the event after a disagreement about her performance but decided to give her ballgown the attention it deserved by staging a photoshoot in the comfort of her own home.
Taking a series of pictures in her Cinderella inspired dress, she wrote: “When @zacposen makes u a custom gown it doesn’t matter if you’re singing or not 🌫 .... thank u 🖤."
It turned out to be a major night for Ariafter Sweetener won the gong for Best Pop Vocal album. She took to Twitter after the announcement to reveal how thankful she was for the award.
“I know i’m not there tonight (trust, i tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and i know i said i try not to put too much weight into these things .... but f**k ....... this is wild and beautiful. thank you so much.”
As for her beef with the Grammys, it all kicked off when a source told Variety that there was a disagreement over her song choice, which prompted organiser Ken Ehrlich to suggest that Ari "felt it was too late for her to pull something together.”
She later accused of him of “stifling her creativity and self expression” but kept things positive by saying she wished him the best for the event.
Let's be real, the dress itself deserves *all* the awards here.
