Adam Lambert To Replace Cowell On American Idol?

US reports claim Lambert is the man for the job...

Adam Lambert has been tipped to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol.

As we previously reported, Lambert has already stated that he wants to return to Idol and according to reports, it could be as a judge on the talent show.

Cowell has already announced that he is to quit the US show after the current series of Idol finishes so that he can concentrate on bringing the X Factor Stateside.

Rumours of who will replace the music mogul on the show has been circulating ever since Cowell announced he was quitting and it now seems Idol insiders are tipping Lambert for the role on America's most notorious judging panel after his stint as a mentor on the show last week.

A Idol source told the National Enquirer: "Producers were totally bowled over by Adam's on-target critiques and pithy comments. They believe he'll bring a fearless, youthful freshness to the show."

The source added: "And let's not forget, Glambert's got real stage presence."
