Adam Lambert: "I'm A Perfectionist"

The American Idol star admits he can be 'too hard' on himself...

Adam Lambert has stated that he can be very critical of himself, especially when it comes to his own performances.

The Whatya Want From Me singer admitted to breakfast show GMTV that he is a perfectionist  when he is working on new material.

Lambert, who is rumoured to be replacing Simon Cowell on American Idol said: "I am so hard on myself. If you were on the outside looking into my head you would probably be shocked. I'm a perfectionist and I get so frustrated with myself when it's not perfect,"

He added: "But I think it's a good thing. My expectations for myself are so high that when I go on stage I have to try to live up to these expectations and that probably creates a stronger performance. If I were lazy and didn't care as much it'd probably be mediocre stuff I was doing."

The Idol runner-up in currently in the UK promoting his debut LP, For Your Entertainment.
