Adam Lambert Urges Fans To Donate To Charity

Instead of buying him gifts...

Adam Lambert had urged his fans to make donations to charity instead of splashing their cash on gifts for him.

The American Idol contestant, who came second on last year's season of the hit talent show has stated that although he appreciates gifts from his fans, he would rather they donate to a more worthy cause.

Lambert wrote on Twitter: "Instead of giving me gifts, why not donate 2 donorschoose.org or other charity in my name? U can print a receipt 4 me and personalize it."

The Whataya Want From Me singer's plea to his followers obviously worked with Lambert later tweeting: "Yay I'm glad u all like the idea! I love reading your cards and seeing your drawings too, I'm just not going to be able to take them with me."

Adam's eagerly awaited Glam Nation tour is set to kick off this Friday in the US with support from fellow Idol finalist Allison Iraheta….don't forget your donations!
