Amanda Holden has told bosses at Britain's Got Talent to hold her seat on the judging panel, because she's planning on starting work again in seven days.
The 40-year-old, who almost died after giving birth a few weeks ago, is reported by The Mirror to be keen to rejoin the show before the end of the auditions.
Although she has missed the London try-outs, the paper says she will definitely be back in time to fill her judge's seat in Birmingham later this month - and may even be at the Edinburgh auditions next weekend.
She told a friend: "I'm much stronger and thrilled with my new family. I'm hoping to go back to Britain's Got Talent in Edinburgh – I feel so much better it is fantastic."
Show producers are thought to be drafting in a special guest to work alongside Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon at the London auditions, which start on Monday.
Amanda suffered serious blood loss after an emergency caesarean section operation, and was reportedly fighting for her life. But following her swift recovery, she said earlier this week that she has 'never been happier'.
