Justin Timberlake or Elton John could be taking Simon Cowell’s place on the American Idol judging panel later this year, according to reports.
The Brit has left the massive talent show to head up his own X Factor series in the US and so there is space for a new face.
The other three judges on the last series were Ellen Degeneres, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi, although it’s unclear if they’ll be back for the new season.
The Hollywood Reporter says trousersnake JT and Elton John could now be in the frame to appear on AI.
However network Fox may struggle to afford legend Elton- who earns millions from playing live shows in Las Vegas and around the world.
Other names linked with the job include Usher, Harry Connick Jr and Chris Isaak.
