Brooke White is the latest contestant to exit American Idol in the States leaving just four singers in the competition.

24 year old White was voted off after all the prospective Idols sung tracks by Neil Diamond.

In the bottom two were Brooke and Syesha Mercado- who is now the only female left in the TV talent show.

Also remaining are David Cook, David Archuleta and Jason Castro who will now compete for the coveted prize which has launched the massive careers Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

This week the judges gave their opinions after each person had performed one of their two songs.

This baffled Paula Abdul who gave a confusing judgement on Castro.
