Angelina Jolie Is Set To Replace Cruise In Thriller...

In her first role since giving birth to twins, Angelina Jolie, will replace Tom Cruise in a forthcoming action thriller.

According to the Hollywood publication Variety, the lead was previously written for Mr Cruise but will be adapted to fit the Wanted actress.

The espionage film, initially entitled Edwin A Salt, had a number of male leads cueing up to replace Tom before Miss Jolie-Pitt declared her interest.

The plot will involve the actress becoming a CIA agent who becomes a fugitive after being accused of working for the Russian government.

This is a landmark step for a big budget studio, the company has the faith to re-write a role for one of the biggest male actors in the world for a female lead.

Another movie, Atlas Shrugged, is also being branded as the actresses return to the big screen, so with production yet to start on either film its a race to see wholl secure her.
