Anne Hathaway is reported to be devastated by her wardrobe malfunction at the New York premiere of Les Miserables on Monday night.
The 30-year-old star accidentally exposed her ladybits to photographers as she climbed out of her car at the event.
The Mirror reported her as having been overheard saying: "I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn’t realize it until I saw all the photographers’ flashes.
"It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them."
And the actress, who played Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, criticised photographers for selling the images when she appeared on a US chat show today.
Speaking to Matt Lauer on Today, she said: "It was obviously an unfortunate incident. It kind of made me sad on two accounts. One was that I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of another person in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it, and do the decent thing, sells it.
"I'm sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies sexuality of unwilling participants, which brings us back to Les Mis, that's what my character is, she is someone who is forced to sell sex to benefit her child because she has nothing and there's no social safety net."
Anne recently revealed that she is desperate for a Catwoman TV or movie spin-off.
