Aretha Franklin has spoken from her hospital bed, saying that she's making a good recovery.
It emerged yesterday that the soul legend was checked into hospital on Saturday (March 20), but details of her illness were not disclosed.
Now, Franklin's doctor has said the 62-year-old vocalist, who won a Grammy last month for the track 'Wonderful', was taken into Detroit's Sinai-Grace hospital, after suffering a "rather severe" reaction to a course of antibiotics.
A statement from Aretha herself, said simply: "I am resting comfortably and responding very well."
