Beyonce Sings For The Obamas

The star belts out a classic track as the President and the First Lady dance the night away

Barack and Michelle Obama had their first dance since the inauguration as Beyonce Knowles sung last night in Washington.

The former Destinys Child star performed the Etta James song At Last at the Neighbourhood Ball last night.

By the end of the dance- which saw the happy couple chatting and giggling- both B and the Obama's were in tears.

It was the first of many inauguration balls that the new President attended after being sworn in yesterday- he also appeared at the MTV Youth Ball.

Barack came onstage for a brief speech before hitting the dancefloor.

He started it by romantically asking the audience: How good-looking is my wife?
