Batman : The Dark Knight- which premieres in London on Monday night- is set to be the biggest blockbuster of 2008

The buzz is all around the late Heath Ledger's performance, which is tipped to land him a posthumous Oscar for his electrifying turn as The Joker.

Box Office stats from the states are reporting sell out shows across the whole of North America. Several advance ticket websites are reporting sell out shows for over 700 performances...

To date, the newest Batman has more than 3-times as many advance tickets as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest, more than 2-times as many as Spider-Man 3 and almost 2-times as many as Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers at the same point in the sales cycle.
