A spokesperson for Beyoncé has denied reports that the singer is expecting her first child.

A statement given to magazine Rolling Stone simply said that the claims are “untrue.”

It was reported by MediaTakeOut.com that the Single Ladies star’s husband Jay-Z was “EXTREMELY happy to be having his first child with Bey.”

The site said it had “learned from a rock solid source, that the pop superstar's expecting, is doing fine and resting (for now).”

Beyonce previously revealed that she is likely to take much of 2010 off work after completeing her mammoth I am… tour.
