Bjork Pulls UK Festival

She slams those in charge of Wild In The Country

Bjork has pulled out of a planned headline appearance at the Wild In The Country this weekend.

The gig (on July 5) was due to be the Earth Intruders singers only UK festival appearance this summer but she says there were problems with staging.

An angry statement released by the IcelandicBjork is extremely disappointed that this show will now no longer go ahead."

It continued: "Organisers have been unable to secure any staging, sound and lighting for this festival making it impossible for the headline artists to perform."

In response bosses of the Knebworth bash- which is run by Renaissance- said: Contrary to what has been suggested, we have diligently provided all production requirements for all of the other acts appearing on this year's line-up.

Soulwax, Foals and Pendulum are all on the festival bill.
