Blur Attend Documentary Premiere

And speak to MTV News on the red carpet…

Britpop legends Blur attended the premiere of their new documentary film No Distance Left To Run last night.

The feature documents both the band’s triumphant comeback last year and their highs and lows in the 90s.

It features honest interviews with all four members of the group- who were in Leicester Square yesterday.

Speaking to MTV News guitarist Graham Coxon said: “I think the first half of the film shows how ridiculously chaotic it all was. It’s just us four saying what we thought which is good.

“When we got back together there were a lot of loose ends to tie up and fractured friendships to do something about. Two years ago I’d have run a mile if Damon (Albarn) was just over there!”

Drummer Dave Rowntree told us about the highlights of their reformation. He said: “Those Hyde Park shows were phenomenal and the Glastonbury show was great. It was great to play small gigs too in the record shop and in the first place we ever played.

Young directors of the doc Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace have made music videos for Elbow and Franz Ferdinand.

They are also set to shoot the new Arctic Monkeys video next week. Dylan told us: “It’s live action mixed with animation but it’s hard to describe.”
