Bob Dylan has topped the
US album chart with his
33rd studio album just days after his new LP;
Together Through Life debuted at number 1 in the
UK.
The singer-songwriter is back at the top of the Billboard chart after reportedly shifting an impressive 125,000 copies in its opening sales week.
Music veteran Dylan fended off stiff competition from the likes of Lady Gaga and the Hannah Montana movie soundtrack to top the charts.
Following his recent transatlantic chart success, Dylan has also hinted that he would be interested in working with former
Beatle Sir Paul McCartney.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “That would be exciting, to do something with Paul. But, you know, your paths have to cross for something like that to make sense."
A spokesperson for McCartney later stated: "I should think he would be very interested in hearing about it. As you can imagine, it would be a pretty major thing if it went ahead."
