Cheryl Cole has launched her solo career in style scoring a chart double with her album 3 Words and single Fight For This Love.

After setting the record for 2009’s fastest selling single last week the geordie’s album went straight to number one in its first week of release.

She knocked Alexandra Burke off the top and managed to outsell the Michael Jackson soundtrack album This Is It at 2.

Westlife had a new entry in the Official Singles Chart with What About Now at number two.

Jay Sean’s track Down- which has already topped the US chart- entered the countdown at number three.
