Cheryl Cole Files For Divorce!

It's official! Chezza has requested a 'quickie' divorce from Ashley...

Cheryl Cole has filed for divorce from her love-rat hubby Ashley Cole.

After months of deliberation, the Girls Aloud star, who split with Ashley in February following allegations that he had been unfaithful has now officially filed papers at the High Court in London.

She is expected to ask for a 'quickie divorce' before the footballer's first World Cup match on 12th June but will reportedly not ask for any of Ashley's money.

Chezza is also said to have insisted that she will not fight for the couple's £6 million mansion in Surrey as she wants to make a 'clean break' from the Chelsea player to avoid distracting him from his England duties at the tournament in South Africa.

A source told The Sun: "Cheryl made a swift decision to put England's World Cup dreams ahead of herself. The divorce should be finalised before England's first touch of the ball in South Africa on June 12."

"She wants a completely clean break with no malice or wrangling over property or money. Cheryl will not take one penny of Ashley's money."

They added: "The house means nothing to her. She only moved there because it was important for them to be near Ashley's training ground. Cheryl is giving the house to him."

The X Factor judge, who has been romantically linked to Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am since splitting from Ashley is said to have cited 'unreasonable behaviour' as the reason for the break down of their marriage.

The Fight For This Love singer married Ashley four years ago but did not sign a prenuptial agreement. Both said to be worth around £10 million each.

An insider close to the Geordie has claimed Cheryl had 'no spite' towards her estranged husband and that the divorce wilt be 'clean, swift and amicable.'

Cheryl's people, Supersonic PR took to Twitter this morning to confirm the news, simply posting on their official page: "We can confirm the divorce. We have no further comment."
