Katy Perry Has 'Girl Crush' On Cheryl Cole

Watch out Russell, it seems Katy has her eye on the X Factor beauty...

Cheryl Cole has picked up yet another celebrity admirer, this time in the shape of Katy Perry.

The California Gurls singer, who is set to wed comedian Russell Brand later this year revealed on Twitter that she has a 'girl crush' on Chezza.

Perry appeared alongside the Girls Aloud star as a guest judge on the X Factor in Dublin while Dannii Monogue is on maternity leave.

Katy claimed on the micro-blogging site that the Parachute hit maker is a 'sweetie' and also confessed that she believed the X Factor judges, including Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh had found a potential winner in Ireland.

The I Kissed A Girl singer tweeted: "There's ONE star today and her name is REBECCA! GET IT GIRL! Thank you DUBLIN, X Factor & to everyone that auditioned, you were brave!"

She added: "And P.s. I wish Cheryl Cole tweeted, she was a sweeeeetie pateeetie today. (girl crush alert)."

Katy, who proved to be a hit with the X Factor crowd unlike previous stand-in judges Geri Halliwell and Natalie Imbruglia also gushed during the auditions that she thought Cheryl was 'absolutely stunning.'

Katy is not the only girl who appears to have taken a fancy to Cheryl.

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie also recently stated that she would love to take Chez on a date after the singer split with her love rat hubby Ashley Cole.

Despite Cheryl's popularity with the lads and ladies, the star herself has admitted that she is not as perfect as people make out by revealing she has cellulite.

Cole told Company magazine: "There’s nothing worse than the dreaded orange peel – I hate it and I have to see myself in a red circle in magazines!"
