Cheryl Cole has been forced to cancel her headlining performance at V Festival as well as pulling out of the boot camp stage of X Factor after being struck with malaria.
The Girls Aloud beauty has been signed off work for two months after reports claiming that she was was 'hours from death' and is still seriously ill after leaving intensive care for a top London clinic.

Chezza is reportedly unable to speak and has jaundice after allegations claimed that she is also suffering from fluid on the lungs after catching the deadly disease.
The 27-year old singer, who is recovering at the clinic with her suspected boyfriend Derek Hough and mum Joan Callaghan by her side will be unable to perform at V festival in August or judge the X Factor boot camp phase.
Cole's spokespeople, Supersonic PR stated: “Cheryl Cole is making good progress but following medical advice she will not be able to take part in X Factor's boot camp stage or perform at V.”

X Factor bosses are said to be holding crisis meetings this week to decide if they need a replacement for Chez after guest judges have already been filling in for new mum, Dannii Minogue.
An X Factor source claimed: “Our priority is to ensure Cheryl is fit and well before she returns to work and to give our contestants a fair and proper opportunity to compete in the show.”
The show insider added: “With Dannii Minogue out in Australia with her new tot and poor Cheryl recovering, we just need to focus on making the best of the situation. We still have a show to put on after all.”

Previous guest judges Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger and Katy Perry have reportedly been shortlisted to stand in for the 3 Words singer, as well as Chezza's close friend and fellow GA member Kimberley Walsh.
V Festival have since released a statement on Twitter, claiming: "V Festival would like to inform you that Cheryl Cole will no longer be performing at this year's festival. We wish Cheryl a speedy recovery."
