Simon Cowell: "Cheryl Is Bored Out Of Her Mind"

The X Factor boss reveals Chezza is looking forward to going back to work...

Simon Cowell has revealed that Cheryl Cole is 'bored out of her mind' after being hit with malaria.

Cole's X Factor boss told GMTV that he has been speaking to Cheryl via text and will not let her return to the talent show until she is completely ready.

The music mogul said: "I had a few text messages from her over the last few days. Listen, it was serious. She was ill,"

"We didn't realise how ill but judging by the text messages I've had, she's definitely looking forward to coming back to work."

He continued: "I think our job is to make sure she sure doesn't come back too quick because I think she is bored out of her mind and going crazy."

Simon also claimed that he believes the Girls Aloud star, who is said to have hired a private nurse to help her recovery from the tropical illness is feeling much better.

Cowell added: "The worst is over. The texts are getting increasingly feisty so she is on the mend,"

The Fight For This Love singer, who is to be replaced by Pussycat Dolls leading lady, Nicole Scherzinger for the Boot Camp stage of the competition will reportedly stay in the UK when filming the Judges Houses phase while she continues her recovery at her Surrey mansion.
