Cheryl Cole reportedly wants rumoured beau Derek Hough to help her at the Judges' House phase of the X Factor.
The Girls Aloud singer is said to want Hough to assist her in chosing the acts she wants to mentor on the live shows instead of her previous aides pal Kimberley Walsh and Pop Idol champ Will Young.
This tactic will impress the likes of X Factor boss Simon Cowell who has claimed that he is looking for an 'all-round' performer on this year's show.
A source told the newspaper: "Simon thought last year's contestants didn't move enough. He called one of them, Stacey Solomon, a singing candle,"
They added: "Cheryl thinks that having dancer and choreographer Derek on board will boost her chances of winning. She can help with their singing and he can teach them some moves."
It has also been suggested that the Parachute singer has ditched plans to film the judges' houses stage at her home in Surrey so she can remain in LA with Derek - who is apparently on the brink of proposing marriage to Cheryl.

A source told Now magazine: “The only reason he hasn't pushed it is because she's so recently split from Ashley....But when the time's right, within a year he thinks, he'll ask her.”
In other Cheryl news, the star has decided to halt plans to release an autobiography until she has finalised her divorce from Ashley Cole.
The book, thought to be entitled Cheryl Cole: My World was due for release this September but The People claims Chez has scrapped the publication as it would have had pictures of her marriage to the cheating footballer.
An insider told the tabloid: "Cheryl was all set to write the book - then decided she just couldn't face talking about her marriage break-up,"
They continued: "She has had a hard time of late and is getting her life together, but the time isn't right to do the book at the moment. She's adamant she simply can't do it yet."
