Cheryl Cole Hits Piers Morgan's Party With Derek

Cheryl Cole seems to have made a full recovery from malaria after she was spotted smoking menthol cigarettes and knocking back cocktails at Piers Morgan's party in LA.

The Girls Aloud star, who attended the bash at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel with rumoured beau Derek Hough also spoke of her battle with the deadly disease for the first time with the Britain's Got Talent judge.

Chezza is said to have told Morgan: "It was terrible, so scary. And all from one little bite. I'm not supposed to (drink). But I suppose a small apple martini isn't going to kill me."

Piers also revealed to The Mirror, that Cheryl appears to be happy again since being romantically linked to Derek stating: "She looked fabulous, considering what she's been through.Wearing a shimmering dark blue dress, very high heels and longer than usual flowing auburn hair."

He added: "And by her side was her new man the American dancer Derek Hough. Her eyes were sad and lonely the last time I saw her in June. Now they're sparkling again."

Things seem to be going so well between Chez and Derek, that reports are now suggesting that the Dancing With The Stars ace wants to join his new girlfriend on the X Factor but can't agree on a deal.

Hough is allegedly in 'secret talks' with production company Talkback Thames for a permanent role on the hit TV show with Cheryl wanting Derek to replace choreographer Brain Friedman after his promotion to creative producer on the US version of X Factor.

An insider told the Daily Star: "Derek wants to be creative director, which is the title Brian Friedman had. He has fixed himself up with hot shot LA agents Creative Artists to negotiate a deal for him."

They added: "But Talkback Thames has told him they can't afford to pay him creative director money. They have offered him a job as a choreographer and that's it. Cheryl thinks Derek is massively talented and wants him to play a big part in the series,"
