Simon Cowell: "It Would Be Unbearable If Cheryl Won"

Cheryl Cole may have only just recovered from malaria but Simon Cowell has revealed that she will not be getting an easy ride on the new series of X Factor.

The music mogul has declared war on the Girls Aloud beauty, claiming that he does not want her to win the show for the THIRD time after being victorious in the last two series - winning with both Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry.

Cowell moaned to New! magazine: "It would be unbearable if she won again."

SiCo has also 'banned bitching' from this years panel after claiming that sometimes the judges take up more column inches than the contestants, especially this year with the absence of Dannii Minogue and Chezza.

Simon explained: "Sometimes we have got into the habit and I’m partly responsible for this of the judges’ personalities being talked about more than the contestants."

He also added that there will be no 'sob stories' on this year's show claiming: "I like it when people are honest about why they have entered. If you’ve entered because you want to get rich and famous, then that’s great. Just don’t pretend you’re doing it in memory of your dead dog."

In other Cheryl Cole related news, her X Factor protégé Joe has revealed that her new man Derek Hough is Chezza's rock and has helped her recover from the cheating ways of estranged hubby Ashley Cole.

McElderry, who recently revealed he was gay told New! magazine: “I went to see Cheryl perform in London and she was dancing with Derek."

He added: "Afterwards backstage, he was so sweet and caring around her. He’s obviously her rock. They’ve become really close – he’s perfect for her.”
