Simon Cowell 'Wants Cheryl To Be Happy & Healthy'

After reports claiming he warned Derek Hough off Chezza...

Simon Cowell has denied reports that he wants Cheryl Cole to dump her rumoured boyfriend Derek Hough, claiming he just wants her to be 'happy and healthy.'

According to The Mirror, Cowell was said to have told Hough over dinner that the Girls Aloud star needed to focus on her career and was 'better off single' after her split from cheating footballer Ashley Cole.

A pal of Derek's allegedly told the tabloid: "Derek said Simon was friendly enough, but just very firmly told him exactly what he thought."

They added: "During the dinner Simon told Derek, 'It's nothing personal, I just don't think Cheryl should be spending so much time with you so soon after her marriage breakup'."

However. a spokesperson for the music mogul has since quashed reports, claiming: "Simon is very happy with anybody that will make Cheryl happy. Simon only cares about her health."

"He wouldn't dream of telling anyone what to do in their private relationship. He just wants her to be happy and healthy, and that's all that matters."

They continued: "There is absolutely no way Simon would be advising her and him about her private life. He was worried about her health and is very relieved she seems to be well again."

Chezza is set to make her return to the X Factor during the Judges' Houses phase of the competition, where the Fight For This Love singer will be picking her final three in Los Angeles.
