Cheryl Cole may quit the UK X Factor after the current series, according to new reports.

It’s claimed she wants to live in the US with rumoured boyfriend Derek Hough and is hoping to bag a judging job on the Stateside version of Simon Cowell’s talent show.

Last week Cheryl was granted a divorce from footballer Ashley Cole.

A source told the News Of The World: “This is Cheryl Cole phase two. She's not changing her name but she's changing every other aspect of her life.

“She wouldn't have the time to do both of the 'X Factors' plus release new songs - and she's got her heart set on America where Derek [Hough] lives."

The supposed insider added: “In Britain, her priority is music and it always will be. She's primarily a music star and she feels three years on 'The X Factor' will be enough.

“ITV will do everything they can to keep her but she doesn't need the money. She only really did this series because of her close friendship with Simon.”

In other Chezza news Simon Cowell has said he thought Cheryl was hungover when she first started showing the symptoms of malaria.

He told The Sun: “The day it kicked off we actually thought she had a hangover,so we were winding her up all day, and she was sleeping it off or whatever"
