Over the weekend, The Mirror claimed that Holloway had asked Cheryl's dad for her hand in marriage, and after getting the all clear, was planning the perfect proposal.
A source went on to claim that the dancer - who is Chezza's first big romance since her divorce from Ashley Cole - was busy searching for an engagement ring for Cole, stating: "She's always said that although Ashley's £100,000 ring was the most expensive jewellery she'd ever owned, she'd rather have had a £100 one and a happy marriage."
The pal went on: "Tre and her have been discussing marriage for the past couple of months now. They know they want to be together and she's desperate to start a family - especially as she turns 30 this year."
However, the Call My Name singer dismissed engagement rumours on Twitter yesterday (20th January), telling her three million-plus followers: "Ok.. That's enough silliness now from the media!! I am not, nor am I getting engaged or married! Stop it *Stephen A Smith voice* …"
Chezza added: "… Its pretty pathetic and very corny!!"
Despite there being no need to buy a hat just yet, Cole's Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh recently suggested that she sees a future for Cheryl and Tre, telling Jonathan Ross: "It's definitely a real relationship - she's known him for quite a long time.
"A few years ago he danced for her - the first time was years ago. He's a lovely guy, so I'm happy that he makes her happy."
The former Strictly Come Dancing star added: "I think it could definitely go the distance, they're really happy."
