Chris Brown has been forced to cancel his European tour after being refused a work visa.

The shamed singer, who has a criminal record after assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna last February was due to begin his Fan Appreciation tour on 9th June in Glasgow but has had to postpone the tour indefinitely.

As we previously reported, Brown took to Twitter to announce the news posting on his official page: "“SORRY to all the fans in Europe! My tour is cancelled,”

He added: “I'm pretty sure y'all know. My entry was denied in your country. I love you. SORRY!!"

A spokesperson for the Crawl singer has since confirmed the news, stating: "Due to issues surrounding his work visa, [the] Ireland and United Kingdom leg of Chris Brown's Fan Appreciation Tour has been postponed."

They added: "Chris looks forward to performing for his fans abroad in the near future and thanks them for their continued support."

At this time, it is unknown whether the tour will be rescheduled for a later date.
