Daft Punk For Tron Sequel

They’ll appear in the film as well as write the soundtrack…

French duo Daft Punk will make a cameo appearance in the new Tron movie.

Speaking to MTV News in the US actress Olivia Wilde exclusively revealed that the band star in the forthcoming sci-fi reboot with her.

She said “They were in the movie” before explaining that studio Disney want the dance music legends to help promote the movie.

Wilde explained: “There's some ideas in the works about how to incorporate them into a Comic-Con event.”

Tron Legacy will be released in late 2010 and is the sequel to the original 80s classic.

So far only a short teaser trailer has been released but it’s known that Jeff Daniels will return for the new flick.

Daft Punk will record the soundtrack to the movie. The group only appear live dressed in robot costumes and also produced their own futuristic movie called Electroma.
