Dannii Minogue could be the next judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
The popular star refused to rule out the move when she was told she would be perfect for the job , which was left vacant when Michael McIntyre quit the show recently.
When told by a Daybreak reporter that she would be ideal for the role, Dannii simply smiled and said, “We'll see”.
When pushed further, the X Factor veteran insisted, “There’s nothing to tell.” The reporter then joked that she could do an on-camera plea to get the job: “I thought you were going to do a ‘beg Simon Cowell’ right now on camera, but you wouldn’t, you’re too classy.”
Dannii laughed and said, “I don't do that.”
Kylie Minogue’s little sister has been a judge on Australia’s Got Talent for years and it was her success on that show that prompted Simon to offer her the X Factor gig in 2007. She was the only original judge to return for the fifth series of the Aussie talent show which aired in May, alongside judge Brian McFadden.
Although David Walliams has also been linked to the vacant BGT spot, David Hasselhoff’s role on the show on the next series isn’t certain, and with Amanda Holden about to have a baby, there could be several positions up for grabs.
It was recently reported that Cheryl Cole had turned down an offer to have a starring role on the ITV series.
