David Beckham VS the Galaxy

The A-list ball bender gets in a scuffle with his own supporters…

David Beckham had to be restrained during an LA Galaxy football match over the weekend, after he attempted to confront angry fans.

The 34-year-old underpants model, who angered Galaxy supporters by indicating during his recent loan spell at AC Milan that he wanted to stay there rather than return to America because the standard of football is higher (not to mention the pasta), received boos and jeers from a section of the supporters during the match.

Then having had enough of it, Becks seemingly lost his temper and approached the angry fans, particularly one ugly looking one that was being especially nasty.

Several taunts and hand gestures ensued, followed by Becks trying to climb over the advertising boards, presumably to open a can of whoop-ass on the drunk yob. Security staff then intervened, restraining Becks and evicting drunk fugly man.

"Just towards the end of the first half there was a corner and a few of the guys were shouting some really not nice things,” explained Becks.

"I just walked over at the whistle and said 'calm down' and tried to call one of them to shake my hand, he just started swearing...

On the boos, Beckham said: "It's to be expected. Sometimes it goes beyond it. The majority of the fans have been great."

The match ended 2:2, with both Galaxy’s goals coming from David Beckham crosses.

Victoria Beckham and the Beckham younglings were on hand to support David, as were Gary Barlow, Kate Beckinsale, Little Britain’s David Walliams and of course Becks’ bit on the side – Tom Cruise.
