Demi Lovato Dancer Awarded Compensation

The dancer who was allegedly punched in the face by troubled Disney star Demi Lovato, has received a small amount of compensation for the attack.

According to Radaronline.com, Alex Welch, who Demi is said to have assaulted before checking herself into rehab last year, was recently given the pay-out and has decided to donate some of the money to charity.

A friend of the America's Best Dance Crew performer told the gossip website: "It's not like she got a large settlement."

"When you consider after giving away some of the money to an organisation, she's not going to get much out of it in the end.”

Welch is thought to have decided to accept the payment and put the incident behind her, with another source revealing: "It's not even close to $100,000. Way, way less than $100,000. Alex never expressed dissatisfaction with the settlement."

They added: "I think she was just ready to just move on. She's happy and moving past the situation and moving forward positively."

Demi is currently still in rehab seeking help for "emotional and physical issues" after checking into a clinic last November.
