Diddy has added another string to his bow, taking to the stage to do stand-up comedy in New York.
The multi-talented star has already proved he can get laughs with his scene-stealing performance in Get Him To The Greek, and now he’s gone one further, appearing alongside comedian Chris Gethard in his sketch show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York.
The Comedy Central funnyman had been campaigning to get Diddy onto his show for more than a year, but in the end the rapper’s appearance came as a surprise, as he showed up at the venue after midnight on Friday and took to the stage with minimal fanfare.
The star happily took part in a series of jokes made at his expense, mocking his lavish lifestyle, his endorsement deal with Ciroc vodka and his work on Making The Band.
After the skits had ended, Gethard interviewed the rap mogul, asking for tips on how to keep cool on stage and if the nerves ever went away. “It can give you gas,” Diddy deadpanned, before offering the advice: “Never stop sh***ing.”
Diddy got more laughs at the end of the hour-long show when he presented some gifts to his host, including a fake gun, a wad of money and three strippers. “It gets lonely on the road,” he explained.
