Davina McCall Collapses After Sport Relief Swim

TV presenter seen in tears after open-water swim in Lake Windermere as part of Edinburgh to London challenge...

Davina McCall is shown in distress and unable to move following an open-water swim in Lake Windermere as part of her epic Sport Relief challenge.

The former Big Brother presenter had to be lifted from the chilly waters of the Cumbrian lake and was carried away to a nearby hotel by members of the crew.

Davina, 46, is travelling 500 miles from the Scottish capital to the English capital by running, cycling and swimming for her Beyond Breaking Point challenge - and had previously shown signs of hypothermia after cycling 130 miles from Edinburgh to Keswick in awful conditions on Saturday.

Her team tweeted then: "In temps of just three degrees with a bitter wind chill, the medics say Davina is showing early signs of hypothermia."

And she tweeted afterwards: "I'm in tatters... That's the hardest thing ive ever done. 50 mph winds... Freezing rain/hail .. It's biblical."

But although she was obviously utterly exhausted after her swim, she was later revived enough to share a snap of herself warming up with a hot chocolate.

And she tweeted afterwards: "I'm ok. That was hairy. Thank you for all your support. I'm about to get on a bike . @sportrelief thank you again"
