Red Hot Chili Peppers To Perform At 2011 MTV EMAs

The rockers will be stepping out on stage in Belfast on 6th November...

Red Hot Chili Peppers have been confirmed as the first performers at the 2011 MTV EMAs.

Fresh from the release of their latest chart-topping album I’m With You, the legendary funk rockers from California are guaranteed to give fans in Belfast – and MTV audiences around the world – an unforgettable performance that will show why they continue to be one of the biggest rock acts on the planet.

Speaking of performing at the star-studded bash, the rockers stated: "We haven’t played in Belfast in a long time, so we’re really looking forward to performing at the ‘2011 MTV EMA’ and seeing all our fans!”

As well as the Chilis taking centre stage, it has also been announced that for the first time ever, the EMAs will be presented from three locations throughout the show’s host city, with Belfast's Odyssey Arena serving as the main stage. Two other locations in the city to be announced in the coming weeks.

Selena Gomez will host the ceremony on Sunday, 6th November and you can catch the proceedings from 9pm GMT on MTV.
