Plus Slipknot, Korn and Pendulum will all play the metal festival

The Prodigy and Slipknot will be headlining the Download Festival at Donington Park this June.

The metal event takes place June 12-14 over five days and will feature many of rocks biggest names.

Also announced for the festival are Korn, Motley Crue, Pendulum and Dragonforce.

There is more competition in the heavy rock market this year with Metallica and Linkin Park announced to play the Sonisphere event at Knebworth yesterday.

Tickets for Download priced 135 for the weekend go on sale at 9am this Friday (February 13).

They also have VIP experiences available- wittily renamed as RIP packages- for those who want a bed, flowers and chocolate in their tent.
