James Bond actors Gemma Arterton and Mads Mikkelsen have signed up to star in what’s set to be one of 2009's big budget blockbusters ‘Clash of The Titans’.
The film will be a remake of the 1981 original that starred starred the late Sir Laurence Olivier. Basic stop motion animation was used in the 80s version but we think they’ll be using slightly updated technology to bring mythological monsters to life.
Clash of The Titans follows the myth of Perseus and his quest to battle both Medusa and the Kraken monster in order to save Princess Andromeda.
Arterton, who played Agent Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace will work alongside Mikkelsen, who portrayed villain Le Chiffre in Casino Royale will be playing demi-goddess Io and Draco the warrior respectively.
Sam Worthington is set to play the lead and Gemma told the BBC that her character protects him "She's like the guardian angel and she's really great, a really brilliant woman, even though she's a goddess."
