Nadine Coyle has flown into London amid speculation that Girls Aloud may continue as a foursome.

The singer has lived in Los Angeles for several years and has had little or no contact with the rest of the group since they supported Coldplay at Wembley Stadium in September 2009. Bandmate Cheryl Cole is a frequent visitor to LA and is even looking to buy a house in the city, but the pair have never met up Stateside.

Nadine announced her arrival on her blog: “Hello, I am so so excited about getting back to the UK. Hopefully I can get to Ireland too. I miss you all. What’s been going on?” She is here to put the finishing touches on her solo album, which is expected in November.

According to a report in the Daily Star, Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh are keen to bury the hatchet in order to get the five band members talking again.

“Nicola and Kimberley plan to save the day,” an insider said. “They’re hoping to sort things out and if that means them making the first move to call her to meet up, that’s what they’re prepared to do.”

Meanwhile, Sugababes singer Heidi Range has added fuel to the fire, claiming Girls Aloud would do just fine without Nadine, their lead singer. "I think Girls Aloud would still do really well without Nadine,” Heidi said. “Cheryl's been huge; the band will always have so much success.”
