There are more rumours of the long-awaited Girls Aloud comeback today as reports suggest the girl group are set to record this year's Children In Need charity single.
According to The Sun, the band were approached after discussing their upcoming reunion at a secret meeting in London.
A source told the paper: "The plan is to release it in November. It is looking like it will be an original song. Bosses think it will be the perfect comeback hit as well as helping a good cause."
Girls Aloud, who recorded I'll Stand By You for the charity in 2004, haven't worked together since parting company in 2009, but the group's production and songwriting team Xenomania revealed yesterday that the girls are recording new material.
Xenomania tweeted last night: "Prepping to go in the studio with @NadineCoyleNOW for new GA sessions... New GA sessions with @NicolaRoberts @KimberleyJWalsh @SarahNicHarding in the studio over the last week."
