Cheryl Cole has been voted the celebrity women would most like as their best friend in a new poll.

The Girls Aloud singer has had a meteoric rise in popularity since she became a judge on X-Factor.

A spokesman for Internet market research company www.onepoll.com said: 'Cheryl would make a great best friend - She might be a famous singer and TV star but she still comes across as being a normal girl you could have a good night out and gossip with.'

Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston came second while Big Brother host Davina McCall makes up the top 3.
