Britney Spears Glee Episode Confirmed

The cast will take on the pop princess' music in the next series...

Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that a Britney Spears themed-episode will feature in the next series of the musical TV show.

After much speculation and a Twitter campaign by Spears' management it appears that Britney will be getting her very own tribute episode, using her most famous hits from her back catalogue.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Murphy revealed that he and the show's writers are penning an episode to use Spears' music in the same way as the Madonna and Lady GaGa episodes.

At this early stage it is unknown whether Miss. Spears herself will guest star in the Emmy nominated series.

The Womanizer singer has previously expressed her interest in the show by tweeting last month: "I love Glee, the cast is so talented."
