Glee star Darren Criss was pulled off stage by an avid fan during the Glee! Live! tour in Washington DC last week.

Criss, who plays Warbler, Blaine Anderson, in the hit musical TV series, was dragged off stage by the mystery woman after holding his hand out to the crowd at the end of the gig.

The 24-year old actor was then hauled into the audience by the excitable lady, leaving the Warbler lucky to escape injury as he quickly jumped back on to the stage.

Speaking of the incident on his Twitter page, Darren seemed unfazed by the fan, and joked: "To the lady who pulled me off the stage and into the pit tonight: if I ever see you on a stage... keep your wits about ya. Love, Darren :) !"

He then tweeted: "btw I'm lucky I didn't hit my head on the gate in front of this lady. Seriously close call tonight... Like, please don't kill me. I'm nice."

In other Glee news, E4 said their final goodbyes to the Gleeks following last night's season two finale, after it was previously revealed that the new series of the high-school comedy will air on Sky.
