Lea Michele has announced that she would love to appear in a Glee spinoff series.
The actress said: "The truth is that I have the greatest job. I work with the most incredible cast and I think [Glee’s creator] Ryan Murphy is honestly the most talented man in the entire world, so if [a spinoff] meant I got to keep working with him for a while, I would be so happy."
Lea hinted that she believes the show’s writers will keep Rachel and Finn (played by Cory Monteith) together, paving the way for a spinoff series in New York after they graduate from McKinley High.
"I have a feeling and I hope that they'll just keep us together for a while,” she said. “When we left off in the finale she was telling him, 'I wanna go to New York, that's where I'm gonna go when I graduate'. Hopefully they'll stay together and I feel like that's gonna be the deal-breaker."
Glee fans were outraged when it was announced that Lea, Cory and Chris Colfer wouldn’t return after the third series, but show bosses have since backtracked and said the trio would appear in some capacity.
In related news, Ryan Murphy has admitted he has received death threats due to some of the show’s content.
