Gorillaz Plan Second Musical

Gorillaz are planning a second opera with world famous comic book writer Alan Moore.

 

The virtual band- who are artist Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn- already created Monkey: Journey To The West last year.

 

Now they’ll team up with the man responsible for V For Vendetta and Watchmen to plot their next stage production.

 

Moore told Mustard Magazine: “We're planning for me to do the libretto on their next opera project.”

Both Damon and Jamie have a multitude of projects on the go at any one time. Albarn reformed Blur this summer whilst Hewlett has been working with Oxfam on art projects.

 

The last Gorillaz record was produced by Danger Mouse (Beck, Gnarls Barkley) although it’s thought he’s unlikely to work on the group’s third album.
