Gwyneth Paltrow has been offered a handful of big-money record deals but has stopped short of confirming rumours that she is close to signing a deal worth $1m.
The actress’ impressive singing voice came to light after her recent appearances in Glee and in the film Country Strong, and she performed at both the Grammy Awards and The Oscars.
Gwynnie has since admitted she has received “a lot of offers” but was worried about the public accepting her as a singer. “The truth is, I really would love to make a record, but I don’t know exactly how you do that so it’s not cheesy,” she said. “I would love to do it.”
The Iron Man star also admitted this new direction in her career was giving her a mid-life crisis. “I have to just figure out what I do want,” she says. “I am having fun with it though, even if it’s kind of giving me a mid-life crisis because I don’t know who I am anymore.”
She added that any album would have an indie sound. Of course, hubby Chris Martin would help with the song writing. “I trust him so much. If I do it, he just wants it to be really good.”
