Will Smith and gorgeous Charlize Theron were in Leicester Sq as the superhero film opens

Will Smith was in London last night for the premiere of new superhero film Hancock.

In typical fashion the star spent ages signing autographs and keeping fans happy before talking about the action flick.

Smith told us about playing the twisted title character: "It took a couple of weeks for me to get into it because that is the total opposite of my personality- totally politically incorrect. But after a while it began to be a little sneaky fun."

Wills co-stars Jason Bateman and stunning Charlize Theron- who plays Hancocks love interest in the movie- were also at the Leicester Square event. She said: "You know I think it's been more than a year since we've had a new super hero, so just based on that I thought you know what, this is going to be interesting.

Hancock opens July 2 Nationwide
